Abstract Details

Purpose:

To evaluate the IOL power prediction accuracy of the new Hoffer H-5 formula compared to other modern formula.

Setting:

Clinical practices from 50 surgeons from around the world.

Methods:

Data was collected from many surgical practices from around the globe including biometry data as well as race and gender of the patient. Calculation of the prediction accuracy was done for the H-5, Haigis, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1 and SRK/T formulas using MedAE after adjusting all MEs to zero.

Results:

These calculations will be complete by the time of the meeting and fully presented. There may be well over 3000 eyes.

Conclusions:

The results will show the accuracy of this new formula compared to the others used today.
