Сorneal haze after photorefractive keratectomy

Abstract Details



Purpose:

To report a rare case of corneal haze, 23 years after keratotomy and 1 month after PRK.

Setting:

Ophthalmology clinic 'OKOMED' Moscow, Russia

Methods:

14 patients with postkeratotomy myopia and after PRK were under our observation. Patients received conservative treatment with cell bioregulators which have tissue specificity to the shells of the eyeball- Conisan-B and antihomotoxicology ingections Traumel-S , Coenzim compositum, Lymphomyosot- (Gemany). Conisan-B was instilled 6 times a day during 1-2 month was administered as intraconjnctival injections near the limb N10 2 times a week. Traumel-S , Coenzim compositum and Lymphomyosot were administered as intracutaneus injections by method of mezotherapy along orbital edge and temple area N10 2 times a week.

Results:

During 2-3 month corneal opacity and discomfort disаppered, patients visual acuity increased. According to the OCT data no any complications were observed.

Conclusions:

The clinical results show prospectivity of including cellular peptides and antihomotoxicology injections in treatment of corneal haze after PRK patients and keratotomy. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
