Abstract Details
Purpose:
Demostrate the efficacy of topographic customized secondary treatment in managing incomplete lasik primary treatment due to fluid masked ablation
Setting:
Due to unwanted fluid masked ablation after her primary femtolasik treatment, patient complained about unsatisfactory results caused by corneal aberrations, mainly coma and secondary astigmatism.
Methods:
Using the Allegro Oculyzer scheimpflug cameras, 6 measurements for each eye were taken and analyzed for accuracy and repeatability. Data were transfered to the Allegretto EyeQ excimer laser and used to treat both eyes lifting previous flaps using post op manifest refraction plus high-order corneal aberration
Results:
After customized topographic retreatments both eyes were 20/20 uncorrected and patient was satisfied with her quality of vision.
Conclusions:
Customized topographic ablation is an effective method for treating complication resulting from uncomplete primary laser treatment FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
