Abstract Details

Purpose:

To investigate the rotational stability refractive outcome of the Hoya inert 351 toric IOL

Setting:

Department of Ophthalmology, Medical University Graz

Methods:

19 eyes of 19 patients with corneal astigmatism of more than 1,5 D, who underwent cataract surgery with toric IOL implantation were analyzed for rotational stability using the ITrace technology. The follow-up period was up to 3 months.

Results:

The iTrace technology is a suitable technology for ideal toric IOL implantation. The toric Hoya inert 351 shows a rotational stability of ± 3,8° measured with the iTrace.

Conclusions:

The toric Hoya iSert 351 is a suitable toric lens for in the bag implantation with high rotational stability. The iTrace device has a sensitivity to measure toric IOL misalignment and can be recommended for postoperative toric IOL controls.
