Clinical outcomes of strategic combination using 3 presbyopic solutions

Abstract Details
Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical outcomes of strategic combination using INTRACOR,SUPRACOR and multifocal IOLs with presbyopic patients of different preoperative conditions
Setting:
Hanbit Eye Hospital
Methods:
20 eyes with presbyopia were evaluated for 12 months. 4 patients had INTRACOR for one eye and SUPRACOR for the other eye. 5 patients had SUPRACOR for one eye and AcrySof IQ Restor IOL for the other eye. 1 patients had INTRACOR for one eye and AcrySof IQ IOL for the other eye.A study on comparison and analysis was conducted.
Results:
At 12 months postoperatively,uncorrected near visual acuity had improved significantly and 85% of the patients achieved J3 and 20/25 or more binocularly.The patient's overall satisfaction was good without significant complication.
Conclusions:
According to the 12 months follow-up data obtained,combined use of INTRACOR,SUPRACOR and Multifocal IOL are safe,stable and effective procedure used for the correction of presbyopia.Yet,longer term data with larger patient numbers are needed to confirm these findings. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
