Abstract Details

Purpose:

To compare results between Lasik and Trans PRK done with the Schwind Excimer Laser.

Setting:

The Schwind Amaris is used in both Lasik and Trans PRK treatments in creating high visual quality, which results in high patient satisfaction.

Methods:

Data from the last 100 Lasik treatments and the last 100 Trans PRK treatments done with the Schwind Amaris Excimer Laser, were used in this study. Inclusion criteria were limited to patients who did not have previous laser treatments, corneal pathology, corneal surgery, or any other ocular pathology. Post- operative results (6-8 Weeks and 3 months) were noted and analyzed. This is a current and ongoing study.

Results:

Patient data and feedback with regards to UCVA were noted, analyzed and results are reported and compared.

Conclusions:

After analysis of data it was concluded that there is little difference between the final results achieved with the two different treatment modalities. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
