Abstract Details
Purpose:
To assess the change in Anterior Chamber volume(ACV) and angle(ACA) after Yag iridotomy by Pentacam-HR
Setting:
SunEye hospital
Lucknow
India
Methods:
The AC volume and angles were assessed in 120 eyes with narrow angle glaucoma prior to Yag-Laser Iridotomy and then they were subjected to Yag- iridotomy and again the para meters were assessed after one week, The study was conducted at SunEye hospital Lucknow India over a period of six months.
Results:
The average volume of AC pre- iridotomy was found to be 75.23(mean 14.34)cmm and post Iridotomy it has increased to 92.47(mean 15.02)cmm showing an average mean change of 17.26 cmm with an average p value of p- 0.0001.
The average angle of AC pre-Yag iridotomy was 24.22(mean 6.39)degree and post Yag Iridotomy it has increased to 27.59(mean 5.55)degree , showing and average mean change of 3.36 degree with an average mean value of p-0.0001.
Conclusions:
The increase in volume and angle after Yag Iridotomy was found to be significant in patients of narrow angle glaucoma . FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
