Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate progression/ regression of Keratoconus patients after tomography guided surface ablation with 1000 Hz (IVIS technology) followed by Trans-Epithelial cross-linking after a month.
Setting:
Ambulatory surgery Centre (Laser Eye Centre)
Methods:
1. IVIS technology 1000hz Tomography guided surface ablation
2. Trans-Epithelial Cross-Linking using TE Riboflavin with UV radiation 18mv/cm3 for 5 min.
Results:
Study of VA, Topography, Tomography, Pachymetry, Epithelial Healing, Evaluation of corneal stroma, endothelium, macular function test etc.
Conclusions:
Because we have a fairly thin Keratoconic cornea the combined Tomography guided ablation and Cross-Linking is not possible and therefore it is done in two stages and 96% of the cases Keratoconus progression has stopped with improvement in vision and reduction in higher order aberration FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
