Abstract Details
Purpose:
We present the variability in central donor graft thickness after a double pass cut technique using the Moria micro-keratome
Setting:
East Kent Hospitals University. NHS Foundation Trust. United Kingdom.
Methods:
As part of the UT-DSAEK protocol we performed central cornea pachymetric measurements of all donor corneas before and after the first pass with the Moria micro-keratome after which a second cut was made with a 50 to 130-micrometres disposable micro-keratome head with the goal of creating a graft approximately of 100 or less micrometres. Postoperatively central graft thickness was measured by optic coherence tomography (Topcon SC-2000)
Results:
The variation between postoperative graft thickness and expected graft thickness after the second cut is presented
Conclusions:
This data is relevant to the discussion of the relative merits of DMEK and UT-DSAEK. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
