Abstract Details
Purpose:
To determine if patients with thinner grafts achieve better final visual acuity
Setting:
Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol
Methods:
38 eyes with Fuchs Distrophy which underwent a triple procedure with FACO + IOL implantation + DSAEK were analyzed 6 months after surgery looking for a correlation between final visual acuity and graft thickness.
Graft thickness was measured with a corneal OCT.
Results:
Graft thickness went from 54 to 194 micrometers (mean graft thickness was 111, 87) while visual acuity went from 20/200 to 20/20 (mean visual acuity was 20/35)
Conclusions:
We did not find a correlation between graft thickness and final visual acuity FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
