Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate the refractive stability and long-term (5 years) biocompatibility of sulcus fixated piggy-back IOL (Rayner Sulcoflex intra-ocular lens)
Setting:
Scarborough hospital, Scarborough, UK
Methods:
6 eyes underwent secondary lens implantation with Rayner Sulcoflex piggy-back IOL. 5 years post- implantation all eyes will have detailed assessment of unaided acuity, refractive stability and Slit-lamp documentation of pigment dispersion, uveitis and IOP (intra-ocular pressure). Post-pupillary dilatation documentation will include centration of Piggy-back IOL and inter-lenticular opacification
Results:
The results will be disclosed once when all the eyes have been examined. These will then be compared to the previous results at 1 month and at 24 month' s post Piggy-back IOL implantation
