IOLs for AMD patients: EyeMax mono – 6 month follow-up

Abstract Details

Purpose:

To register and analyse changes in vision in patients with AMD after implantation of the EyeMax mono IOL.

Setting:

Eye Hospital Denmark - Charlottenlund, Denmark

Methods:

Consecutive non-randomized 6 months follow-up study of vision in 31 eyes of 22 patients with AMD.

Results:

Vision was measured by ETDRS. CDVA improved from LogMAR 0,68 to 0,42 (P<0.01). The patients in the group with partial sight had a higher degree of improvement compared with the legal blind group.

Conclusions:

Vision improved according to the preoperative predictable measurements by simulation test.
