Abstract Details
Purpose:
Amblyopia is a condition in which the connection between the brain and retina of the eye are poor in the development.
Setting:

Methods:
28-year-old caucasian man with anisometropic amblyopia of the right eye suffered a penetrating injury to the fixing left eye which resulted amaurosis.After the reconstructive surgery the vision in the fixing eye dropped to no light perception and remained there.
Results:
Our case demonstrate that visual cortex plasticity can be restored or enhanced later in life.
Conclusions:
Our case study suggest that early reverse occlusion operates to reverse the physiological dominance of the deprived eye.
