Results of topography-guided treatment (Contoura®) of myopia and myopic astigmatism

Abstract Details

Purpose:

To analyses results of topography guided treatment (Contoura®) of myopia and myopic astigmatism.

Setting:

Ophthalmosurgical medical center “Noviy Zir”, Kyiv, Ukraine

Methods:

This retrospective study evaluated 3 months results of 17 consecutive patients (34 eyes) who had topography-guided (Contoura®) Femto LASIK. We evaluated perioperative visual acuity, refraction (SE), keratometry, corneal wavefront (RmSH and Coma). All patients were included according to FDA protocol for Contoura® treatment.

Results:

Mean values topography guided treatment (Contoura®): UDVA 20/20: 94,1% , UDVA 20/16: 88,2% , BCVA 20/20: 100%. Preop SE was -5,6 ± 0,12 D, postop SE was 0,25± 0,12 D. Corneal aberration postop: RmSH 0,28; Coma 0,15.

Conclusions:

Topography guided treatment (Contoura®) of myopia and myopic astigmatism allowed to have excellent visual acuity in all cases.
