Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate the accuracy of intraoperative aberrometry in post radial keratotomy eyes.
Setting:
Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India
Methods:
Five patients presenting with cataract, who had undergone prior radial keratotomy underwent conventional IOL power workup including online power calculation using iolcalc.ascrs.org. Intraoperative aberrometry was performed to determine the IOL power. In the post-operative period, refraction was performed at one week and one month.
Results:
none of our patients were hyperopic in the post-operative period. The error was within -1D spherical equivalent.
Conclusions:
Intraoperative aberrometry helped in achieving the best refractive outcomes in eyes with prior radial keratotomy undergoing cataract surgery.
