Abstract Details

Purpose:

To mark the incision and IOL axis in the cornea with femto LDV Z8 and check the marks in the cornea at slipt lamp immediately after the surgery.

Setting:

Centro de Microcirurgia Ocular Atibaia

Methods:

32 eyes of patient with cataract and cornea astigmatism, submitted to femtocataract surgery with femto LDV Z8, using three marks. The first was incision axis (2.4 mm x 12.0 mm), second, IOL axis (1.0 mm x 4.00 35% of the cornea), both used 1.200 NJ of energy and both axis given by the calculator.Third mark was 180º of the IOL axis(Second) The marks were checked at slept lamp immediately after the surgery.

Results:

6 eyes - the error were between 6º - 10º 26 eyes - the error were between 0 -5º The marks disappeared in 24 hs.

Conclusions:

Mark the axis in the cornea with femto LDV Z8 showed security and precise to implant the toric lens.
