Abstract Details

Purpose:

To demonstrate the accuracy and stability of the refractive results of the Transepithelial PRK treatments using the SWIND Amaris 850 and SWIND Amaris 1050 excimer laser platforms.

Setting:

HyperVision and Athenian Refractive Eye laser center

Methods:

Evaluation of 500 cases performed in 3 year period, where examined regarding refraction stability, healing time,quality of vision and complications.The cases were myopic (-1.00D to -10.00D ) , hyperopic (+1.00D) and astigmatic(up to -2.00D). All cases were performed by the same surgeon and post-op they all received FML and thealoz duo in various schemes according the individual healing.

Results:

Mean time for Epithelial regeneration was 72 hours. 5 cases showed delayed healing and in 2 of them calcicor was used. Refractive target was obtained in 3 weeks.

Conclusions:

A safe and accurate method with predictable results.
