Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate the effect of partial using 0.1% bromfenac after femtosecond laser small-incision lenticule extraction(SMILE) in myopia.
Setting:
Eye Ear Nose and Troat Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai 200031, China
Methods:
120 eyes were randomized divided into 2 groups. All eyes used 0.1% FML within 1week post-op, 0.1% bromfenac was treated in experimental group from second week, while the control continued to take FML. We checked VA, refraction, IOP and corneal biomechanical parameters in 1d, 1w, 1m and 3m post-op.
Results:
No statistically difference was found in VA and refraction post-op. There was no statistically difference in post-op IOP(NCT) in 1d, 1w and 3m, while in 1m IOP in experimental group was higher than control about 2.6 mmHg (t= -2.92, P=0.005). Meanwhile, IOPg and IOPcc in experimental group were higher than the control group about 2.9 and 2.6mmHg respectively (t=-2.22,P=0.03;t=-2.15,P=0.04). Corneal biomechanical parameters (CH and CRF) in post-op were lower than the pre-op, no statistically difference was found between 2 groups.
Conclusions:
Partial using 0.1% bromfenac sodium after SMILE will perform the same VA, refraction and corneal biomechanical stability, smaller fluctuations in intraocular pressure.
