Abstract Details

Purpose:

to find out whether Lasik is safe procedure in Pigmentation Dispersion Syndrome, and to make sure that Lasik does not increase the risk of increasing IOP or developing Glaucoma in Pigmentary Dispersion Syndrome.

Setting:

Optimax Laser eye clinics , UK

Methods:

34 myopic eyes with Pigmentary Dispersion Syndrome of which 20 eyes had lasek and 14 eyes had Lasik in the years 2015-2017 in Optimax Laser Eye clinics in UK , the IOP was measured before treatment then 1 week , 6 weeks and 3 months after treatments .

Results:

The IOP post Lasik and Lasek patients with Pigmentary Dispersion Syndrome were similar with no Statistical difference in 1 week , 6 weeks and 3 months post treatment .

Conclusions:

Patients with Pigmentary Dispersion Syndrome can have Lasik treatment with no increase in IOP, Lasik does not increase risk of developing Glaucoma in Pigmentary. Dispersion Syndrome
