Abstract Details

Purpose:

To illustrate the benefits of NIDEK SZ-1 IOL , that make the surgeon chooses this lens for his patients during phacoemulsification  .

Setting:

Magrabi Eye and Ear Hospital

Methods:

Explanation the five points and benefits of NIDEK SZ-1 IOL , during the phacoemulsification with IOL  of 300 eyes  within tow years . - discussing the tips during the injection of the IOL. -  monitoring the stability of this IOL . -monitoring the vision 0f the patients. - monitoring the PCO post operatively .

Results:

All surgeries went well eventually with clear cornea and stable IOL postoperatively easy using of this preloaded IOL during implantation , fast unfolding in the bag with excellent stability .

Conclusions:

With the presence such these IOLs , with less manipulations , less complications ,preloading type , and easy implantation , all these can reduce the time of the surgery and make the cataract surgeons prefer this type of IOLs .
