Abstract Details

Purpose:

Analysis of the results of refractive error in phakic correction of ametropia after undergoing tunnel keratoplasty

Setting:

ASTRAKHAN CLINICAL HOSPITAL "OF THE FEDERAL STATE BUDGETARY INSTITUTION OF HEALTH CARE" SOUTHERN DISTRICT MEDICAL CENTER OF THE FEDERAL MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL AGENCY

Methods:

Patient I. 23 years old, history of high myopia, In 2001 - tunnel annular intrastromal keratoplasty of the right and left eye. On biomicroscopy of both eyes, the cornea is transparent, in the paraoptic zone there is stromal opacification, the surface of the cornea is irregular. Implanted phakic posterior chamber toric intraocular lens (FIOL) Visian IC

Results:

Improvement in visual acuity was observed on the first day after surgery. The deviation of the obtained refraction from the calculated one exceeded 1.0 D. The maximum corrected visual acuity was noted by the end of the 2nd week and was 0.6 in the right and left eye. During 3 months of observation, visual acuity and IOP remained stable

Conclusions:

The method of calculating the IOL was carried out using biometric parameters of the eye without taking into account the topographic map. We believe that refractive error is associated with this.
