Abstract Details
Purpose:
The management of neovascular glaucoma with conventional therapy can use drainage systems as new therapeutic strategy.
Setting:
Observational study. Follow up at six months.
Methods:
Implantation of xen 45 in two patients with neovascular glaucoma with tonometric values between 27 and 30 mmHg despite maximal therapy.
Results:
In both cases a reduction in ocular pressure (<18 mmHg) was obtained and it was maintained for 6 months sine therapy.
Conclusions:
Xen 45 implant could be a potential option in the surgical management of refractory neovascular glaucoma
