Abstract Details

Purpose:

To check the effectiveness of Single Pass Four-Throw Pupilloplasty technique combined with phacoemulsification for Iris atrophy in cataractous herpes zoster ophthalmicus (HZO) Patient.

Setting:

king Fahad University Hospital, Khobar, KSA.

Methods:

A case report.

Results:

The visual outcome improved from HM to20/30 sc, the pupil looks normal with good form and contour and patient have a satisfying result.

Conclusions:

A proper selection and preoperative preparation give a better surgical outcome with Single Pass Four-Throw Pupiloplasty technique combined with phacoemulsification for HZO patients.
