Purpose:
The purpose - to estimate efficiency of optical biometer «LENSTAR LS900, Haag-Streit» for calculation introcular "premium-class" lenses.
Setting:
The Samara state medical university, Samara, Russia
Methods:
Functional results of out-patient surgery of a cataract with implantation of IOL « premium-class » are studied: «AcrySof IQ ReSTOR add+3,0D», «AcrySof IQ Toric» and «AcrySof IQ ReSTOR Toric» (Alcon, the USA). Calculation of optical power of IOL was spent on emmetropia on optical biometer «LENSTAR LS900»; for calculation toric component used the resource «www.acrysoftoriccalculator.com». Before operation visual acuity at patients 0,14±0,01 (from 0,01 to 0,6). Initial astigmatism from 0,50 to 4,50 D. IOP 12,7 ± 4,1 mm hg Length of an axis of an eye 24,34±2,33 mm, depth of the forward chamber 3,11±0,52 mm, a thickness of a crystalline lens 4,72±0,41 mm, an average refraction of a cornea 43,12±1,34 D.
Results:
Operations at all patients have passed without complications. Patients are surveyed in 1 month after operation. Visual acuity close 0,6±0,05, on average distances 0,75±0,04, afar - 0,86±0,04 (? <0,05). Average clinical refraction 0,38±0,47. The size of astigmatism has decreased on the average to 0,36±0,05. The deviation of a spherical equivalent ±1,0 D from a purpose refraction has made in 97 %.
Conclusions:
Optical biometer «LENSTAR LS900, Haag-Streit» in aggregate with on-line calculator allow to count highly precisely IOL "premium-classes".
