Purpose:
To compare outcomes of implantation of IOL by
push – in and pull – in, in accordance of in the bag placement of iol, anterior chamber maintenance and stretching of incision.
Setting:
: Yeshwantrao Chavan Rural hospital, latur and MIMSR Medical College Latur, Maharashtra, India
Methods:

Results:
Pull – in method of IOL implantation is more beneficial than Push – in method, with former having advantage of higher incidence of in the bag implantation with a significance of 98% (Chi-square test probability value less than .02) in experienced hand, less anterior chamber collapse, less instrumentation and less wound gaping with only dis-advantage of a confident hand required for pull–in method.
Conclusions:
Pull-in method is better than push-in method with advantages of its own.
