Purpose:
To evaluate first clinical outcomes and analyze lens mobility in patients after Tetraflex HD IOL implantation
Setting:
Ophthalmology Department of Teaching Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady and 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic
Methods:
22 eyes of 11 patients were involved in prospective nonrandomized single center study. All patients underwent cataract surgery with Tetraflex HD IOL implantation. In our group of patients we analyzed: preoperative and postoperative uncorrected and bestcorected near and distance visual acquity, refractive results, IOP. In each patient we performed wavefront analysis (VISX WaveScan) as well as the IOL movement measurment by UBM (Accutome). Mean follow up time was 3 months. RESULTS Mean preoperative UCDVA 0,23, BCDVA 0,42, SE was +0,35. Postoperative UCDVA was 0,8, BCDVA 1,0, SE -0,47, UCNVA was Yaeger 3,4, Yaeger 1 with correction +0,92. Mean postoperative IOP was 16,4mmHg.
Conclusions:
All our patients show promising results, TetraFlex HD implantation is safe and leads to very good uncorrected distance visual outcomes and good uncorrested near visual outcomes.
