Methods:
25 eyes of 20 patients were done surgery. Surgery was done only when the IOL was posteriorly dislocated or sublaxated or patients who were left aphakic for secondary implantation procedure.A modification of the technique using scleral tunnel was done which made the procedure faster, good centeration and sutures coverage. RESULTS Intraoperative complications includes 2 cases of accidental iris injury, 2 cases of mild vitreous hemorrhage. Postoperative complications include IOL decenteration in 2 cases, suture exposure in 3 cases, one case of macular edema, no cases of vitreous hemorrhage.
Conclusions:
Scleral fixation IOL using scleral tunnel is fast technique with adequate IOL centeration , suture coverage and minimal postoperative complications
