Purpose:

Evaluation of a new anterior chamber phacic IOL for high myopia more than - 7 D

Setting:

K.Ditzen,City Center,Bahnhofstr.18,69469 Weinhjeim,Germany

Methods:

20 eyes of 12 patients were operated with the new Acrysof Cachet-anterior chamber IOL between - 6D and - 18D.Four eyes received additional laserablation (""Bioptics"") RESULTS Refractive outcome,predictability.safety,stability and complications were described.

Conclusions:

The new phacic IOL Acrysof Cachet inclusiv bioptic procedures is a reliable procedure to correct hihg myopes beteen - 6D and - 18D
