Purpose:
To study the efficacy and safety of Mplus toric asymetric refractive multifocal toric intraocular lens for astigmatism and presbyopia
Setting:
BEGITEK Clķnica, San Sebastian, and OKULAR Clķnica, Vitoria. Spain
Methods:
Prospective non randomized observational study. 28 eyes of 14 patients. Refractive lensectomy for presbyopia and astigmatism. 6 months follow-up. Age 57.50 +/- 6.45 yo. Analyzed data: Biometry variables. Refraction sph/cyl and power vectors, UDVA, CDVA, UNVA, DCNVA. Vision quality.
Results:
Preop refractive astigmatim was 2.48 +/-1.02 D (1.25 to 5 D). Postop astigmatism was 0.31 +/- 0.34 D. Error vector was 0.31 x 120.34ŗ. Refraction Sph Eq predictability was: 96.55% within +/- 1 D. Safety index was 1.03. Efficacy index was 0.98. No adverse events were recorded. 100 %. All patients referred night asymetric halo: Mild or irrelevant
Conclusions:
Mplus toric is accurate and safe for the correction of presbyopia and astigmatism FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
