to report a case of retained air gun bullet in the subconjunctival space resulted in severe visual loss

A13 years old boy brought by his parents to the emergency room complaining of severe visual loss discovered at school by chance during routine eye examination, he has positive history of trivial eye injury one year back when he was playing with an air gun.
On examination he was found to have CF vision and retained subconjunctival air gun bullet and tractional bands along the retinal arcades with chorioretinal scarring secondary to scleroptria. The patient underwent removal of subconjunctival air gun bullet but with permanent visual loss secondary to damage to the retina .
Conclusions:
Unnoticed neglected children's injuries may result in permanent visual loss FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
