Purpose:

To evaluate early results with Femtosecond Laser for cataract surgery

Setting:

D.O.M.A. srl

Methods:

Iol Master, Sirius, Visante/Casia and Pentacam HD topo-tomographers, CSO endothelial cell count, Spectralis OCT, Lensx Femtolaser, Alcon Infiniti.

Results:

Pre and Post-operative evaluation of BAVC, endothelial cells, macular thickness, and surgical induced astigmatism will be presented. First difficulties met and tricks to evitate complications will be explained.

Conclusions:

Cataract surgery with Lensx femtosecond laser is a safe and effective procedure to remove cataract. Moreover, early results are more predictable mainly because of the standardized reproducibility of the capsulorexis and corneal incisions parameters. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
