Purpose:
The paper represents the review of the results of patients operated by method of phacoemulsification that have secundaria cataracta

Methods:
Retrospective study includes operate patients by method of phacoemulsification in the period of January 2009.until of April 2010. on Ophthalmology department in Krusevac. Period that we followed is 18 months. The study comprises patients that have hydrofoil acryl lens implanted, and who were than sent on Nd-yag laser because of secundaria cataracta 12 months after the surgery.
Results:
From the total number of operated patients, 301, of average age 67 years, the youngest one 40 years, the oldest 86 years, 49.75% are men, and 50.25 % are women. Secundaria cataracta , 12 months after the surgery, appeared with 15 patients (4.98%) and they were sent to Nd-yag laser capsulotomy, BCVA after the intervention is 1.0(20/20).
Conclusions:
Thanks to the method of phacoemulsification that provides good hydrodisection and polishing of complete last capsule, decreases in great deal the appearance of the secundaria cataracta. Complication is easily solved and function of the eye is quite good. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
