Purpose:
To present preliminary results after the implantation of the new AT LISA tri 839MP trifocal.
Setting:
Hospital Cuf, Porto, Portugal Hospital Braga, Univesidade do Minho
Methods:
10 eyes of 5 patients with hyperopia ranging from + 1.50 to + 4.00, with ages ranging form 52 to 57 years old, and 20/20 preop. BSCVA were submitted to refractive lens exchange and implanted with AT LISA tri 839MP trifocal IOL. Surgery was performed with Infiniti Ozil. Incision size 2.2mm. For purposes of IOL power selection biometry was calculated with Zeiss IOL Master.
Results:
No eyes experienced a loss in BSCVA. All patients had 20/20 uncorrected visual acuity either in near, intermediate and far vision. In our small series we had no complaints of halos, night driving problems and reading problems in low light conditions.
Conclusions:
AT LISA tri 839MP trifocal shows very promising results in correction of presbyopia in hyperopic patients with excellent near, intermediate and far vision. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
