Methods:
A prospective Clinical observation involved 25 cases of high myopia who had accepted the ICL implantation. The patients aged from 21 years old to 43 years old. ICL implantation was used to treat myopia from -10.75DS to -20.5DS with cylinder from -0.50DC to 3.0DC. The patients were followed up for more than 1 to 2 years with visual acuity, manifest refraction, intraocular pressure, wavefront aberration, corneal endothelial density, pupil size and corneal topography and ACD using pentacam. SPSS software was used to analysis.
Results:
The implantation procedure was done successfully in every patient. No infection happened to in these cases. The patientsÂ’ UCVA was significantly improved postoperatively. No eye lost BCVA. wavefront aberration increased .
The safety index was 1.0, The difference of ACD pre and post-operation was significant, the pupil size after implantation ICL significantly larger than that before surgery. There was no case with glaucoma.
Conclusions:
ICL implantation could be efficiency, safety for high myopia, and the changes of ACD and pupil size need to further following up. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
