Abstract Details

Purpose:

To analyze the results of refractive lens exchange with primary piggyback multifocal and high power intraocular lens implantation for high hypermetropia

Setting:

International Eye Center-Gaza-Palestine

Methods:

A case study of 20 years old female patient with bilateral extreme hyperopia with UCVA 3/60 and BCVA 6/18 with +12 sphere of refraction . Bilateral sequential clear lens exchange with primary +42 D aspherical lens (C-flex® Aspheric- Rayner) which was implanted in the bag and multifocal (Rayner Sulcoflex® supplementary IOL) was implanted in the sulcus.

Results:

The postoperative uncorrected visual acuity was 6/18 in both eyes and , uncorrected near acuity of J5 in both eyes at 6 months follow up . Both eyes were within ±0.50 D of the emetropia

Conclusions:
