Abstract Details

Purpose:

To evaluate the results of correction of astigmatism of patients with cataract and presbyopia after implantation of AcrySof IQ Restor Multifocal Toric IOL and results of patients satisfaction

Setting:

Ukraine

Methods:

Carried out 52 operations Cataracts – 43 Presbyopia – 9 Corneal astigmatism 1.5 - 6.0D Technology Local anesthesia The target refraction in all cases emmetropia

Results:

Vision on long distance 20/20 96% 20/30-20/40 -4% Vision at 40 cm 20/20 - 93% 20/30-20/40 - 7% on intermediate distance 20/20 - 90% 20/30-20-30 10% Residual astigmatism ?0,75 dpt 92% 3 mounth after operation the lens didn’t change position

Conclusions:

Correction of astigmatism - a key point for successful surgery with implantation of multifocal IOL AcrySof IQ Restor Multifocal Toric IOL - the most stable and efficient method for the correction of astigmatism in cataract surgery and presbyopia Provides high quality vision at all distances – near the intermediate and in the distance Allows simultaneously correct the astigmatism and perform an operation to replace the lens (cataract or presbyopia) ? High level of patient satisfaction. It’s necessary to increase the range of toric multifocal IOLs to correct astigmatism of more than 4 cylinders FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
