Abstract Details

Purpose:

To evaluate of efficacy and acuity of refractive results of MF Toric IOL implantation in patients with corneal astimatism and cataract or CLE, including patients after refractive prosedures.

Setting:

" Excimer" Eye Clinic, Moscow, Russia

Methods:

The 71 Acrysof MF Toric + 3.00 IOL implantation were performed in 53 patients age from 15 to 81 y.o. with cataract and clear lens exchange (18 patients binocular). 5 patients were after previous refractive procedures (Lasik, PRK, RKT). All of patients were examined on Pentacam for evaluation of power and axis of astigmatism. The power of IOL was calculated with calculator-on-line.

Results:

The good clinical results and patient's satisfaction were achieved in 89% of patients. Independence from glasses was obtained in 93% of cases with binocular implantation. Value of postoperative astigmatism was 0 + 0,75 D.

Conclusions:

The MF Toric IOL implantation help to resolved the corneal astigmatism's problrem for multifocal IOL implantation and usefull for patients after refractive surgery. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
