Clinical experience with Ex-PRESS mini glaucoma shunt

Purpose:

To report our experience and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ex-press Mini-Glaucoma Shunt. implantation

Setting:

All the patients were accepted and operated in Baskent University Adana Clinic and Research Center.

Methods:

Ex-press Mini-Glaucoma Shunt (P-200; Alcon Lab) was implanted to five eyes of four patients with end-stage glaucoma suffering from high intraocular pressure (IOP) and severe pain with full treatment. Three patients suffered from primary open-angle glaucoma and one from neovascular glaucoma. Success was defined as an IOP between 5 and 21 mmHg without further medication. IOP was measured on the 1 day, 1 week and 1 month following surgery.
