Purpose:
TO study the uses of fugo plasma blade in infantile cataract
Setting:
Magrabi eye and ear hospital saudi arabia
Methods:
25 eyes was done by this technique from
February 2008 to April 2010.
Follow up period 1-26 months.
All patients were visually improved
regaining their central fixation
No post operative uveitis or posterior
adhesions to IOL
Results:
Correct management essential to prevent permanent visual loss
Early detection within the first month of life is very important
The new advancement in surgical tools as fugo blade ,Phaco machines ,IOL materials Gives us a great help in doing A very safe, mostly complication free congenital cataract surgery with marvelous results.
