Abstract Details

Purpose:

To define effective approaches of correction of anomalies of a refraction with use of surgical and laser methods.

Setting:

Eye Clinic «New Vision», Minsk, Belarus.

Methods:

In 1 group (176 operations) it is executed refraction lensectomya with implantation soft IOL at patients with myopia of high degree. A refraction: sph-13,5yo2,0D, cyl-1,65yo0,5D. In 2 group (124 operations) it is executed refraction lensectomya with implantation soft IOL at patients with hypermetropia high degree. A refraction: sph +5,25±1,5D, cyl +1,55±0,65D. Laser keratomilesis: myopia of high degree with SE-10,0 D. Analyses 2 groups of patients to which has been implanted multifocal IOL. In 1 group – 150 operations, IOL Restor (Alcon). In 2 group – 150 operations, it is implanted IOL M-Flex (Rayner).

Results:

Patients after laser keratomilesis in the remote terms of supervision had a decrease in visual acuity without correction and return of a refraction to-2,25D. At patients with a hypermetropia both a spherical equivalent +5,18±0,53D and the cylinder +1,46±0,81D the purpose refraction has not been reached in one case. In this connection 43,7 % of patients repeated operation has been spent. The predicted refraction at patients with IOL ReSTOR has been reached in 84,6 % of cases, with IOL M-flex – in 92,3 % of cases.

Conclusions:

The refraction lensectomya at patients with anomalies of a refraction of high degree allows to receive high visual acuity and on the outcomes doesn't concede to results laser keratomilesis. Implantation of multifocal IOL is highly effective way of correction of anomalies of a refraction. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
