Purpose:
To compare the results of Oculus Pentacam HR and Oculus PARK1 noncontact devices for measuring central corneal thickness.
Setting:
Department of Ophthalmology, Medical and Health Science Center, University of Debrecen, Hungary.
Methods:
Central corneal thickness (CCT) was measured in 51 eyes of 27 healthy volunteers by the same examiner using Pentacam HR and PARK1 noncontact devices. The measurements were repeated three times and statistical analysis was performed.
Results:
Mean CCT measurements with Pentacam HR were 556.08±36.46 ?m and 554.90±37.99 ?m with PARK1 device. By comparing the datas no significant difference was determined (p=0.97).
Conclusions:
The Oculus Pentacam HR and Oculus PARK1 noncontact pachymetry results are the same. By our datas we can conclude that they may be used as alternative methods for measuring CCT. FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
