Purpose:
evalute the different causes found intraoperatively to cause IFIS

Methods:
91 eyes of IFIS was reviewed to find the reason for IFIS done by the same surgeon,their records wereevaluated for any topical or systemic medications to find out the reason for IFIS
Results:
32 patients were using flumax ,23 patients were using antihypertensive medications (natrilix,ACE inhibitors),17 eyes were using antianginal therapyand 19 eyes were having local eye diseases mainly PXF and chronc anterior uveitis
Conclusions:
IFIS is an intraoperative risk factor in cataract surgery which is not only caused by the systemic use of flumax but it can be also caused by other systemic medications especially antihypertensive medications ,antianginal medications as well as local eye diseases as PXF and chronic anterior uveitis FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE?: No
