Purpose:
Limits in corneal refractive surgery for Hyperopia were evaluated.
Setting:
Klaus Ditzen, M.D.
Bahnhofstr. 18
Weinheim, 69469
Germany
Methods:
40 hyperopic eyes were operated up til +6 D between 01.07.2014 til 31.12.2015. LASIK was done with the SCHWIND Pendular Microkeratome, 10 mm flap-diameter, flap-thickness 130 µ and the Excimer Laser MEL 80 from Carl Zeiss Meditec. All eyes were controlled in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year postop. Stability, safety and predictability were analyzed.
Results:
There were a good saftey and stabilitiy. Regression starts in correction more than +4 D.
Outfinding: präoperative K-value of 47 D and radius of 7.4 mm are limitations.
Good stability, safety and predictability were noted.
Conclusions:
Limitation in corneal hyperopic correction K-value of 47 D and radius of 7.4 mm. Coorections more than +4 D had regressions.
Alltogether there were a good stability, safety and predictability.
