Abstract Details
Purpose:
To assesss axis alignment and stability of the toric implantable collamer lenses ticl staar sugical company
Setting:
Anand Hospital & Eye Centre, Jaipur
Methods:
45 eyes of 26 patients received ticl for treatment of myopic astigmatism mrse and manifets refractive cylinder were measured pre and postop the axis allignment was mesured using the ray tracing technology of I Tracey (HOYA)
Results:
Both postoperative uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best spectacle-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) were significantly improved when compared with preoperative values (p<0.05).
Conclusions:
There was no statistically significant rotation between early follow-up (1 month and 3 months) and final follow-up (p=0.215, p=0.492, respectively).
Three eyes exhibited ICL rotation of 5 degrees and the remaining eyes (96.7%) had ICL rotation of less than 5 degrees.
