Multifocal or multizonal IOL, a new grouping attempt of non-monofocal IOL for patient selection: 1 year experience

Abstract Details

Purpose:

For the patients wish of a glass-free vision there is a number of construction varieties for IOL although selectionary- and exclusionary criteria for the patients. Although these aspects get noticed, patients can be unsatisfied with all types of IOL. That's the reason why the author is grouping the IOL for the preoperatively consultation und selection of the right patients in such with real far point and near point ('Multifocal IOL') and those with a possible vision from far to intermediately. This wider zone is the one for our new 'Multizonal IOL'.

Setting:

We will inform about the consultation concept and the results after implantation of multifocal (Tri- and Bifokal-IOL and segmental bifocal ) and multizonal IOL (Tetraflex, W-IOL, Comfort and Symfony) at 97 patients.
