Abstract Details
Purpose:
Presbyopic binocular hyperopic simultaneously treatment will be evaluated.
Setting:
K. Ditzen, Ophthalmic Department, Bahnhofstr. 18, Weinheim, Germany
Methods:
Simultaneously bilateral Presby-LASIK was done with the SCHWIND Pendular Microkeratome and the Excimer Laser MEL 80 from Carl Zeiss Meditec with the Laser-Blended Vision (LBV) method. Dominant eye was corrected to Zero, non-dominant eye was corrected to max. 1,5 D anisometropia. Controll time for 40 eyes was 1 year.
Results:
The binocular presbyopic correction had a good subjective acceptance and satisfaction: good stability, safety and predictability. Nearly no Problems with nightvision and contrast sensitivity were noted.
Conclusions:
Presbyopic Binocular Hyperopic correction with this LBV-method combined the advantage of micromonovision and increased dephth of focus in both eyes.
