i-Lasik: a four year follow-up study

Abstract Details

Purpose:

To report on the outcomes of Intralse FS150 KHz (AMO) and VISX S4 IR Wavefront-guided LASIK done on 155 surgeries from May 2011 to February 2012.

Setting:

South African Private Practice in Cape Town

Methods:

Prospective study of 151 i-Lasik with inclusion criteria of no previous ocular surgeries, no ocular pathology and refractive aim of emmetropia. Eighty seven (56%) were available for post operative evaluation. Demographics and intra-and post-operative results are presented at 3 month and 4 year follow-up.

Results:

Findings on safety, efficacy, flap thickness, refractive outcome, enhancement rate, HOA results and K-max values are reported and discussed.

Conclusions:

Evaluation of i-Lasik clinical results shows impressive safety, efficacy and long term stability.
