Efficiency of etiopathogenic therapy of fungal diseases of the cornea

Purpose:
To study the efficacy of eye drops and capsules FLUZAMED in treatment of fungal keratitis and corneal ulcer
Setting:
Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education
Methods:
Clinical observations include 21 patients (21 eyes) with keratitis and corneal ulcers fungal etiology. Of these 8 (38.1%) women and 13 (62%) men. The age of patients ranged from 17 to 65 years.
Local antimycotic therapy consisted of instillation Fluzamed 2 drops 5 times a day, solkoseril (ocular gel) for 2 drops 4 times a day Fluzamed 150 mg 1 capsule 2 times a week (3-4 weeks).
Results:
Timing disappearance microflora in smears and crops ranged from 5 to 8 days, depending on the severity of the disease.
The duration of treatment was reduced to 5,6 ± 0,8 days. Clinical observations and laboratory tests confirmed the high therapeutic efficacy of therapy. Recovery occurred in 20 (95.2%) cases.
Conclusions:
Studies have shown that the developed treatment is highly effective. In this regard, an algorithm therapies based of use Fluzamed - eye drops, Fluzamed – capsule and solkoseril (ocular gel) can be recommended for use in patients with fungal diseases of the cornea
