Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate visual and refractive outcomes, stability and efficacy of multifocal AT Lisa tri 839MP (Carl Zeiss Meditec) IOL.
Setting:
International Center for Ophthalmology, Moscow, Russia
Methods:
We reviewed 37 eyes of 19 patients undergone lens exchange with AT Lisa tri 839MP (Carl Zeiss Meditec) IOL. Average age 57 y.o. The mean follow-up period was 18.7 ± 5.2 months. Refractive errors ranged from -8.25 to +5.0 D. Autorefractometry, uncorrected distance visual acuity (UCVA), best corrected distance (BCVA) and best corrected near (BCNVA) visual acuity, optical biometry (IOL Master), intraocular pressure (IOP), AC OCT Visante, Macula and optic nerve disc OCT Cirrus , endothelial cell (EC) loss were compared.
Results:
The mean SE changed from -0.6±3.30 D to -0.1±0.3 D . The UCVA improved from 0.30±0.29 (Decimal) to 1.0 ±0.20. BCVA improved from 0.8 ±0.30 (Decimal) to 1.0 ±0.20. BCNVA improved from 0.6± 0.25 to 0.9 ± 0.16 . No statistically EC loss. No induced astigmatism, glaucoma, or inflammation was observed.
Conclusions:
The multifocal AT Lisa tri 839MP (Carl Zeiss Meditec) IOL implantation shows good visual outcomes, refractive predictability, efficacy, and stability of results. Can be used like combined method of cataract and refractive surgery.
