Air injection in corneal stroma: a rare complication

Abstract Details
Purpose:
To show spontaneous absorption of inadvertenly injected air bubble between corneal stroma and descemet's membrane.
Setting:
Narang Eye Institute ,New Delhi ,India.
Methods:
Side port was made at 12'o clock.When air bubble injected it went in cornea stroma instead of anterior chamber.After waiting for 4 days phacoemulsification was successfully performed.
Results:
Patient regained satisfactory vision.
Conclusions:
Patient was followed daily,air bubble reduction was noticed and there was no descemet's detatchment.
